They soon learned that he loved and respected them, and they loved him back. Whenever he went into the backcountry he took his shotgun and filled the stewpots of his meat-starved hosts.

Training doctors where they are needed most
Education Congo currently funds transportation for Congolese medical school interns to Kisantu, Kimpese, Vanga and Tshikaji. Only a handful of interns are assigned to a local hospital in Kinshasa. By facilitating the transport of interns to remote areas, Education Congo is not only enhancing their value as doctors in Congo, but exposing them to regions where they may not otherwise seek employment.
